Back on the Road, Monday

Preview

Hey there, I wanted to share a little update with you. On Monday, Ruby and I will start our journey back to San Diego to pick up our van from the mechanic. It’s supposed to be ready by the 20th, and while I’ve heard that before—thanks to the delays with warranty payments, parts availability, and labor over the past six months—I’m feeling cautiously optimistic this time around.

When I close my eyes, I envision us back on the road, experiencing and exploring. I’m hopeful that by Friday, we’ll finally have our Georgia ready to hit the road.

As I prepare for this chapter, I am excited about the adventures ahead. Starting with getting there. I’m considering which route to take. I’m leaning towards heading down the beautiful California coast to avoid the heat, but I’m still deciding. If you have any suggestions or favorite stops along the way, I’d love to hear them!

If you are wondering how Ruby and I will be heading to San Diego, we are doing a one-way rental with a moving van. This will allow us to take our stuff comfortably back south.

Our trip will first start by loading our stuff we have stashed in the Rogue Valley (the stuff we cleared out of Sheldon when it sold). Then we will travel over to Klamath Falls to get the things we need from storage. We will also work on a much needed storage clean out and organization while we are there. By Wednesday, we will be heading south. We are in no rush, taking a couple of days to get there.

The rental is due for return on Saturday 6/21 just a few blocks from the mechanic.

Here’s to new beginnings and the open road ahead!
